How risk scoring works

ClearContract categorizes contract risks into three levels. This lets the platform handle low-risk items automatically and surface the important ones for your team.

Risk Level	What it means	What happens
Low risk	Standard terms with minor administrative differences from your playbook.	Auto-approved
Medium risk	Commercial terms that deviate from your standards — e.g., payment terms, notice periods.	Flagged for review
High risk	Critical issues like missing liability caps, contested IP ownership, or removed indemnity clauses.	Escalated to legal
